Arizona Gives Day
Arizona Gives is an online giving experience that unites Arizonans around causes they believe in. Hosted by the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits and the Arizona Grantmakers Forum, Arizona Gives is a great way for nonprofits to connect to the larger community, learn how to use new digital tools and strategies, and generate excitement and resources for your mission. The powerful 24-hour fundraising event takes place the first week in April each year.
AmeriCorps VISTA
AmeriCorps VISTA is a national service program designed specifically to fight poverty. Founded as Volunteers in Service to America in 1965, VISTA has been on the front lines in the fight against poverty in America for 50 years. AmeriCorps VISTA members make a year-long, full time commitment to serve on a specific project at a nonprofit organization or public agency.
Business On Board
Service on a nonprofit Board of Directors can be one of the most rewarding ways to contribute your skills and experience to make a positive impact on the community. Nonprofits working hard to improve our state face enormous challenges, so they seek energetic, talented and qualified leaders to achieve their missions. But first, it is critical that prospective board members first educate themselves on what it means to be a board member, including the fiduciary, legal and fundraising responsibilities of nonprofit board service.
