The Yuma Nonprofit and Grants Resource Center is a cooperating collection of the Foundation Center as well as a collaboration with the Yuma Area Nonprofit Institute (YANPI). The Center offers grant-seeking organizations and individuals use of reference and circulating materials, free workshops and webinars, and aid to finding and navigating Web resources. From the Internet workstations at the Main Library, grant seekers can search the most comprehensive electronic collections of grantmakers and grants available through two Foundation Center databases and the Just Grants Arizona Guide to Grants Online database.
The Yuma Nonprofit Resource Center is co-located at the Yuma Main Public Library. The Alliance VISTA member will work to promote, expand, and increase access to the center and its resources with the ultimate aim of helping all Yuma Nonprofits achieve their philanthropic goals and improve the lives of our citizens. Member Duties: Periodically design and conduct classes on topics concerning organizational development, fundraising, and partnerships, in addition to promoting the Non Profit Resource Center at large. Assist with monthly lectures and workshops sponsored by the Yuma Area Nonprofit Institute and the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits: this includes booking, registration, facilities, and logistics. In partnership with the Library’s Collection Development Librarian, research and choose relevant materials for the Non Profit Resource Center shelves. Design a system that tracks patron usage of the Center’s services and resources. Develop an Operations/Procedure Manual for the Non Profit Resource Center.
