YUMA COUNTY LIBRARY – GRANT WRITERS IN RESIDENCY

The Grant Writers in Residency program is a unique partnership with the American Association of Grant Professionals (AAGP)-Arizona Chapter and the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits. The AmeriCorp VISTA members participating in this program are placed in nonprofit and governmental organizations throughout the state to learn all aspects of resource development and Grantsmanship. The VISTA member is mentored during their year of service by a Chapter Member of AAGP.
The Yuma County Library’s Grant Writers in Residency is now in its second year and currently has an opening for an AmeriCorp VISTA to continue this program. To find out more about the Yuma County Main Library, visit their website at: www.yumalibrary.org.
Member Duties: Develop resources to support fundraising efforts including donor solicitation letters, boiler-plate language for proposals, presentation materials and tracking mechanisms. The VISTA member will receive training on all aspects of grantseeking and resource development from a variety of sources. Participate in workshops/events hosted by AAGP-Arizona Chapter and the Alliance. Participate in the development of an overall grant seeking strategy for the Yuma County Library District, plan grant projects to seek funding, research potential funders, and prepare/submit grant applications. Assist library staff in the overall administration of grant projects including complete required reports and provide progress updates to community stakeholders.
