David W. Givens
David W. Givens retired in 2000 as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for Honeywell's Aerospace Electronic Systems business, which provides avionics and control products, systems and services for space, military and commercial aviation markets.
Givens was with Honeywell and its predecessor, Sperry Flight Systems, for 21 years. He joined Sperry in 1979 as Manager of Product and Business Planning for the Business and Commuter Avionics Division. He was appointed Director of Business Development for the Commercial Flight Systems business in 1985 and became Director of Strategic Planning and Business Development for Honeywell Space and Aviation Control in 1993. He was appointed Vice President of Strategy and Business Development in 1997.
Prior to joining Honeywell, he held management positions at Collins General Aviation Division of Rockwell International. He also held engineering and management positions at Pan American World Airways.
Givens is a founding member of Executive Service Corps of Arizona (ESC). He is a member of the ESC Advisory Board and is an ESC consultant to nonprofit organizations in Maricopa County, with a primary focus on strategic planning.
Givens holds a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Auburn University and a Master's in Business Administration from Arizona State University.
