National Council of Nonprofits Special Reports
The National Council of Nonprofits is a network of state and regional nonprofit associations serving more than 20,000 member organizations throughout the nation. The mission of the National Council is to advance the vital role and capacity of the nonprofit sector in civil society and support and givevoice to state and regional associations of nonprofit organizations. In line with this mission, the Council has been working closely with state associations, members of Congress and others to help nonprofits understand and help implement the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, better know as "the stimulus."
To this end, the National Council has been creating a series of special reports that clarify where we're at, what might be coming next, and how we, as a sector, can actively participate in accessing funds as they become available, and in providing oversight to our state and local governments in Arizona to make sure that they are using the best processes and distributing the funds in proven ways.
