GENERAL ARRA RESOURCES

Federal

The primary ARRA web resource is found at recovery.gov website.  This site is the federal government’s primary point for information on and about ARRA.  While the site provides a lot of data about ARRA spending (and the tracking of that spending), it is not designed as a resource for identifying funding opportunities.

Each federal agency also has pages and information within their website about ARRA funding and their plan for administering the dollars allocated to them under ARRA. The easiest way to search each individual federal agency is actually through the recovery.gov site, specifically at http://www.recovery.gov/Transparency/agency/reporting/default2.aspx.  From here you can select any federal agency and learn how they are using their ARRA allocation.  In addition, you are immediately provided with a link to the agencies actual web site; specifically the area within their web site dedicated to ARRA.   Again, all these web links are generally informational in nature and do not provide direct access to ARRA grant and/or contract opportunities offered by the agency.  However, spending plans (which provide indications of areas of funding interest) along with time tables for implementation are generally provided.  There is great variation between agencies in the breadth and depth of these documents.

State

The primary ARRA web resource at the Arizona state level is found at the recovery.gov website.  This site is primarily informational and actually draws quite a bit of its information and data from the federal recovery.gov site.

Like the federal model, the AZ state site provides links to its state agencies.  This can be found at http://az.gov/recovery/agencies.html.   This particular resource provides general information.  However, it does provide an ARRA contact person and their contact information for each agency.

Independent

There are hosts of other sites which speak to ARRA generally or some specific component.  Most of these can be found quickly through the links provided above.  However, two national resources have drawn considerable attention by providing a very comprehensive and interactive review of ARRA.  The sites are http://www.recovery.org/ and http://foundationcenter.org/getstarted/faqs/html/government_grants.html.  Again, however, these site speaks to what has occurred and/or provide general information about ARRA, and do not focus in on what opportunities are specifically available.
