Become a Volunteer Consultant with ESC Arizona
ESC Arizona is seeking interested women and men to join our cadre of volunteer consultants. Becoming a consultant will provide you with opportunities to refresh and exercise the management skills that you have developed during your working career. Now you can contribute that experience to helping solve interesting challenges facing local nonprofit organizations which provide vital services to our community.
Qualifications We're Looking For
Consultants should have experience and education in the areas of strategic planning, marketing, community relations and communications, finance, or human resources, preferably at the policy development and/or management level. We also need people with corporate general management experience, experience leading a small business enterprise, professional organization, or educational institution service.
Background in nonprofit board development, organization, operations, fund development campaigns or advocacy will be very helpful. Experience and knowledge in personal coaching, mentoring and team building are also qualifications that are helpful in working with nonprofit clients.
What would I do?
Consulting With Clients:
ESC Arizona volunteer consultants participate in teams to advise clients on specific management issues. They leverage their areas of expertise as objective third parties. As a consultant, you will be helping organizations identify problems and recommend and develop solutions. Your team will be assisting a variety of nonprofit executive leaders. The scope in planning, reviewing internal processes, or in training and mentoring staff or board members will be determined by theclient's needs.
Support ESC Arizona:
ESC Arizona is itself a nonprofit program that needs a limited amount of volunteer support. ESC Arizona volunteers help in chairing various committees, recruiting other volunteers, developing and/or presenting in-house training, planning strategies for marketing, helping manage projects, raising funds, and other activities.
