The Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits is formed of, by and for all nonprofits. You can find many ways to become involved in our work in addition to joining the Alliance as a member. Stay connected to public policy affecting nonprofits, support the sector and support the Alliance’s efforts to serve, support, protect and promote Arizona’s nonprofit community.
Public Policy 2011
In 2011, the Alliance favors a balanced approach to fiscal policy for the state of Arizona which, 1) provides adequate support for public programs which are widely supported by Arizona citizens, 2) supports education, quality of life and public infrastructure which are necessary for the long term economic growth and health of the state of Arizona; and 3) avoids undue hardships on the most vulnerable residents of the state to achieve budget balance. Read the Alliance's Policy Agenda 2011 in its entirety. Also, Read the latest news about our advocacy efforts for Arizona’s nonprofit community and find out how you can support our cause.
Host a Meeting with Your Legislators
The Alliance is coordinating meetings hosted by our members with state lawmakers when they return home from the 2011 legislative session. We are asking members to invite state House and Senate members to a reception in the summer and fall of 2011. Read some tips for hosting your meeting. Send us your registration form to joep@arizonanonprofits.org.
Arizona Town Halls 2011
The Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits is hosting a series of Town Halls on the Fiscal Crisis around Arizona. The Town Hall surveys the legislative landscape and how decisions made in 2011 affect nonprofits, then focuses on action. You will walk away with an action pplan to involve your community in the choices we face as Arizona communities. Go to the Events section of our website to find a Town Hall that is going to be located near you. If you attended one of our Town Halls, you can download the packet of handouts and begin planning your advocacy strategy.

Economic Recovery Act
In February 2009, the President Obama signed into law the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act, popularly known as the “stimulus” law. Find out the latest on how these funds can help nonprofits in Arizona.
