"What is IT?  What Can IT Do For You and Your Nonprofit?"

Information Technology (IT) is becoming one of the most important aspects of any company’s success. While IT may be a very broad topic, we know it is an area many people struggle with.  IT topics include hardware and software purchasing and support, consulting, programming, social media/websites, mobile devices, training, video- conferencing, data backup, remote access, mass emails, and video in addition to other areas.  Can you benefit from learning about free or inexpensive IT solutions?  Do you have general or specific questions about technology?  Do you want to learn from your peers about their technology challenges and successes?  If so, join Tom Torretta with Arizona Community Foundation and Emma Schneider with Arizona Grantmakers Forum in a lively discussion about some technology resources that are available to you as a nonprofit professional.  We will also have ample time for questions so that you can leave the session with some best practices, helpful resources, and ideas for improving technology within your organization.

"Arizona Gives Day: Workshop for Nonprofits"

In March 2013, the Alliance, in partnership with Arizona Grantmakers Forum, is doing something never done before in Arizona. AZ Gives Day is a day for Arizonans to come together to raise as much money as possible for the state’s nonprofits in 24 hours on March 20. It is a one day, statewide, online movement to harness the giving power of the community to strengthen the fundraising capacity of Arizona nonprofits. The Alliance is hosting a series of free statewide trainings to give you the tools you need to be successful on March 20.

Nonprofits in attendance will be trained on creating their profile on the website, they will be shown how to make the most of the AZ Gives Day toolkit materials, and they will be provided an interactive opportunity to discover methods in getting their communities involved to raise awareness of the giving day.

Lunch sponsored by APS.
