Kristen brings extensive leadership to the Alliance, most recently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at the Arizona Small Business Association (ASBA), the largest trade association in Arizona serving over 10,000 small business owners and entrepreneurs. Through her previous roles at ASBA, the ASU Foundation and the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, she brings over 12 years of association and nonprofit knowledge and expertise to her new role as Alliance CEO.
Urge the Senate to take up and pass giving incentives legislation. Nonprofits across the country are urging the U.S. Senate to take up and pass a bill to restore and make permanent three charitable giving incentives that have proved to make a difference in communities.
Tuesday, April 7, 2015 was the 3rd Annual Mayor’s Day of Recognition of National Service and the 1st Annual County Day of Recognition of National Service. Nationally, over 2,630 elected officials participated in recognizing the importance of national service across the country. Across Arizona, a total of 48 elected officials registered to participate on Mayor’s and County Day this year. That included 40 mayors, 1 Congressional representative, 4 county officials, and 3 tribal leaders. Mayors Greg Stanton of Phoenix, Jonathan Rothschild of Tucson, Kenn Weise of Avondale, and Jerry Nabours of Flagstaff all announced their commitment to the Employers of National Service Initiative, a nationwide initiative aimed at connecting employers from the private, public, and nonprofit sectors with national service members through recruitment, hiring, and advancement opportunities.
